LEAP: GoodSearch & GoodShop

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

GoodSearch is a website powered by Yahoo that will donate to a designated charity every time a person does a web search.  There are 52 thousand charities to choose from, but the “GoodSearch” button at the top of this page will make LEAP your charity of choice.  Every time you use their search engine box from their page with LEAP as the chosen charity, they will donate a penny.  Last year, we received enough pennies to buy a few cases of Pepsi.  Let’s see if we can buy a few more cases in 2008.

A newer feature from GoodSearch is GoodShop.  Online stores like eBay, Overstock, iTunes, BestBuy, WalMart, and about 40 other sites will donate a percentage of each purchase to LEAP if we choose that option.  Instead of going directly to BestBuy, for instance, you start at GoodSearch, click the GoodShop button, then click the BestBuy button which will link you to BestBuy.  You then make your purchase, and BestBuy will confirm with you that you want a percentage to go to LEAP.  After you say Yes, then they send the check to GoodSearch who will then give a check at the end of the year.  All the money comes from either these companies or from advertisers, so it costs nothing for LEAP or for you.

There are ways to make the process a little easier, like adding a GoodSearch bar to your Internet Explorer.  Just follow the instructions here - http://www.goodsearch.com/Toolbars.aspx - and you can help support LEAP by searching the web.

Thank you for your continued support, and let family and friends know as well.
