ADA Cleveland Breakfast Club: Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation

On May 5, ADA Cleveland (LEAP is a member) is hosting the first of a series of FREE Breakfast Club meetings to engage the public in issues relevant to people with disabilities.

The topic of our inaugural Breakfast Club is Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation.

The event is Friday, May 5, from 8:30 – 10:30 am in Parma at the Watershed Stewardship Center, located in the Cleveland Metroparks West Creek Reservation. Please join us for this meeting of insight and ideas.

We are seeking to engage recreation, education, activities professionals who seek to learn more about inclusive practices in recreational programming for people of ALL AGES AND ABILITIES.

This ADA Cleveland event will be guided by recreation professionals from Youth Challenge (Paralympic Sport Cleveland), ADA Cleveland, and the Cleveland Metroparks staff.

We will share insights and best practice suggestions on the following topics:

  • Accessible and Inclusive Activity Planning
  • Accessible Facility Creation and Practice
  • Inclusion Techniques for Teaching, Instruction, and Volunteer Engagement
  • We will conclude with a Q & A session and some time for networking opportunity.

The event is FREE and includes a light and healthy continental breakfast.
