Free Access to Benefits Workshop for Parents and Caregivers Offered May 3

Cleveland, OH-April 18, 2017 - Linking Employment, Abilities and Potential (LEAP), a Northeast Ohio disability services organization, will offer a free workshop for parents and caregivers of people with disabilities on Wed., May 3 from 6-8 PM at their location in Ohio City. “Waivers, Benefits and My Child” is designed to answer parent and caregiver questions about eligibility and access to benefit programs, including Medicaid Waivers, which are designed to support families and help to ensure the highest quality of life for people with disabilities.

Many Northeast Ohio parents and caregivers don’t understand the vast array of programs available to help them as they parent or care for children with disabilities, often over their lifetimes. These include income and housing supports, Medicaid, employment assistance, adaptive technologies, and many other services. “Waivers, Benefits and My Child” will be held at the LEAP offices, located at 2545 Lorain Ave in Ohio City, across the street from Ohio City Incorporated. Free parking is available for attendees in the LEAP lot located at W. 26thand Lorain Ave.

To RSVP for the workshop, contact Julie Wojcik at 216.696.2716 Ex. 888 or jwojcik@leapinfo.org.
