An open letter from LEAP’s Board of Directors

Posted April 03, 2023 in LEAP in the News

Linking Employment, Abilities and Potential (LEAP) Executive Director Melanie Hogan informed the agency’s Board of Directors in early 2023 of her decision to retire by the end of the year. We are grateful for her stewardship of LEAP and its mission through her almost three decades of service with the agency.

Since 1994, Melanie has led LEAP in its mission to advance a society of equal opportunity for all persons, regardless of disability. Her enthusiastic leadership has been a cornerstone of LEAP's success and she leaves with her an incomparable legacy of advocacy work across Northeast Ohio.

We recently kicked off our search to find the agency’s next leader. We are committed to identifying the best candidate to help the organization continue to deliver on its mission. The Board of Directors has convened a search committee and is actively recruiting to fill the position.

We cannot thank Melanie enough for her dedication, passion, enthusiasm and motivation. She will be greatly missed by the staff, Board, constituents and consumers alike. We are excited and hopeful for the next chapter of LEAP as we continue to support those living with a disability in Northeast Ohio.
