Your vote matters. Every voter’s choice has an impact and as a group, your voice is amplified. Other people care about the same things you do. It is important that you and those around you vote so that the issues you care about are addressed. 

More than 1.5 million people in Ohio have one or more disabilities. Your voice and your vote matter, and impacts the world around you.

Every person in the United States is represented by elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels of government.

Voting for these representatives is a fundamental right and responsibility of citizenship and one of the most important ways that we let our voices be heard.

LEAP encourages all who are eligible to exercise this right.

In Ohio, the secretary of state is responsible for the election process. Visit the Ohio Secretary of State web site to learn about voter eligibility requirements, voter registration, and voting locations. County Boards of Election can also provide this information.

Between Elections: Voice Your Concerns

Researching legislation on your own and contacting your elected officials is a good way to have your voice heard between elections.
