March for Access

Join NOCDO for our 3rd annual March for Access! This year, we will rally and march for voting rights and access. The March for Access will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 (rain or shine). This is a FREE event.


Event Timeline:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Accessible shuttles from Lakeside begin
  • 11 to 11:30 a.m. – Sign-making and community engagement tents open
  • 11:30 a.m. – Rally and Speakers
  • Noon – March for Access (approximately a half-mile)
  • 12:30 p.m. – Return from March
  • 1 p.m. – Shuttles to Lakeside end


Parking and Shuttles:

Free parking is available at the County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 1275 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland. Youth Challenge will provide free and accessible shuttle service to/from Public Square from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Accessibility:

  • An ASL interpreter from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities will be available to individuals as needed.
  • The rally will be ASL interpreted.
  • C.A.R.T. service is provided and will be open-captioned on two large monitors (on stage). We will also have a QR code available for captions on mobile devices.
  • Reserved seating available close to the stage and monitor.
  • Accessible restrooms will be located at the NW quadrant Public Square, on Rockwell Ave.
  • Masks, sunscreen, and general first aid will be available at the general information table.
  • A wheelchair charging station will be located near the stage.
  • The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities will provide a Universal Changing Table, which will be available to individuals as needed.
  • Assistance from volunteers will be available as needed on the March route.
