We are excited to announce the launch of five new Peer Support groups! LEAP’s Peer Support groups are a space for people with disabilities to give and receive support. Each group is facilitated by a trained LEAP staff member with experience in the group’s subject matter. Below are the Winter 2026 groups; all group meetings will be held on Zoom.

Emerging Groups – Fill out form
This group is a supportive space for men with experience in late-onset disabilities, progressive disabilities, or those who have experienced a traumatic change from disability and can connect in meaningful ways.
Facilitator: Omar
Audience: Men age 18 and older living with a late-onset disability, progressive disability, or those who have experienced a traumatic change due to their disability.
Dates: Tuesdays from February 10, 2026 through March 31, 2026
Time: 6:00 to 7:00 pm
This group is for anyone living with visible disabilities who have had the experience of being gawked at. It’s a space to share their stories, perspectives on living with a visible disability, and find support from those who understand.
Facilitator: TJ
Audience: Adults age 25 to 50 living with visible disabilities.
Dates: Every other Monday from February 9, 2026 through March 30, 2026
Time: 6:00 to 7:00 pm
A support group for autistic adults where they can talk about everyday factors that may affect someone with autism, ways to cope with challenges, and see the positives in having autism, and connect with the autism community.
Facilitator: Nera
Audience: Adults age 18 and older who have autism

Tism Talk (A Support Group for Autistic Adults) – Fill out form
A support group that offers a welcoming and judgment-free space to connect and share stories and practical tips, building friendships and alliances with other students who are living with disabilities and preparing for college or are already navigating campus life.
Facilitator: Elizabeth
Audience: Adults age 18 and older living with a disability who are in college or are preparing for college
When: First Wednesday of each month from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM starting March 4
College Access & Disability Empowerment (CADE) – Fill out form
A support group for women with disabilities to engage in meaningful topics, spanning from what it means to have a disability, how we can reshape our perceptions of what we were taught about having a disability, disability stereotypes we unintentionally follow, and ways to take the negatives and further embrace the positives of being disabled.
Facilitator: Saphire
Audience: Women aged 20 to 40 living with a disability who want to build a sisterhood in understanding disability, challenging unhelpful perceptions, and reshaping and re-owning disability identity.
When: The first session of this group will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on the last Wednesday of the month: February 25, March 25, and April 29.
