Aging In Place Virtual Presentation

Wednesday, August 18th, 2021

When: 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Learn strategies to help an older adult remain in their home for as long as possible.

For several reasons people want to stay in their home and their community as they age, instead of moving to a retirement community or other type of facility.

How to do this as safely as possible requires thinking about the home's structure, and personally adapting as physical capabilities change.

As we age, we know that vision, hearing, muscle strength, balance and more can become different. As we change, our surroundings may also need to be adapted to allow as much independence and safety as possible. The home may need to be modified structurally while we may need to make lifestyle changes.

We will discuss techniques and resources to discover if "Aging in Place" is your best option.

Registration is required. After registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting.
