What if you could drive change to better meet your needs?
Imagine yourself making a difference to gain better transportation, have easier voter access, and achieving more equitable employment opportunities.
LEAP’s Advocacy Group will:
- Be led by people with disabilities
- Let you connect with others with similar interests and passions,
- Help you to create change in your community, and
- Give you access to LEAP's knowledge of policies and laws to help you advocate on issues that matter to you.
Drive Change!
This is your opportunity to ask questions and learn from your peers on issues that affect the disability community.
It is a safe-place to talk about policies and issues important where everyone is treated with respect regardless of their differentiating points of view.
It is also a proactive group who responds to calls-to-action!
Members will work with LEAP advocacy staff to help answer your questions on how to advocate to local, state and federal agencies including your representatives and assist you as you develop your self-advocacy skills.
