Independent Living Skills Training

Individuals participating in LEAP’s programs can benefit from independent living skills training. This training provides assistance in assessing and developing the skills needed to live independently. While such training is highly individualized, topics can include such areas as:

• Financial management
• Social skills
• Health management
• Home management
• Personal skills
• Community living skills

Eligibility

LEAP serves northeast Ohioans with disabilities through several services developed to support independent living (including benefits, employment and recreation). The majority of our program services are funded by Federal and State agencies with specific eligibility guidelines.
